CEO / TeaRoom Inc.
I graduated from Waseda University majoring in Political Science and Economics. Having cultivated my expertise in the art of Japanese tea ceremony in the Urasenke Tea Association for 17 years, I now carry the honorific tea name “Souryo Iwamoto” and am active as a professor. At the age of 21, I founded the company TeaRoom. In an effort to address the structural challenges within the tea industry, I acquired multiple factories and tea gardens across Japan to have a vertically integrated model spanning from tea cultivation to distribution. This led me to establish a corporation known as THE CRAFT FARM, recognized as an agricultural land-owning entity. Awarded as Forbes JAPAN 30 UNDER 30 2022, Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2023, Global Shapers at the World Economic Forum. Holding the role of executive director at Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten Co., Ltd., further attesting to my multifaceted achievements on a global scale.
