ASEAN Japan Future Generation Business Leaders' Summit

ASEAN – Japan emphasises people-to-people contact and cultural exchanges, particularly among the youth and intellectuals, with a view to fostering a sense of togetherness, mutual respect and understanding of each other’s traditions and values. The community will build Gen-Z leaders’ capacities as advocates and agents for increased partnership and collaboration between ASEAN and Japan through a collection of lectures, group discussions, expert-led panels, site visits, team activities, networking, cross-cultural sharing, and produce a vision statement/communique/proposal for the leaders.
The community will to develop a proposal to be conveyed to the ASEAN – Japan Gen Z Leaders’ Summit in Karuizawa, ultimately contributing to the ASEAN – Japan Special Leaders’ Summit in Tokyo. The community foster deeper discussions , building a new ASEAN-Japan relationship .

Nguyen Hong Minh

Nguyen Hong Minh serves as the Deputy General Director at UIC Insurance Company, specializing in non-life insurance. His role involves collaborating with the General Director to oversee the company's operations, managing financial, operational, and human resource tasks delegated by the General Director. He is also a Council Member and Capital Representative for BaoMinh Insurance Joint Stock Corporation in UIC.

Before joining UIC, he held the position of Deputy Director of Finance at BaoMinh Insurance Joint Stock Corporation. In this role, he managed cash flow, debt, assessed business performance, supervised department operations, oversaw financial operations at 17 company branches, managed working capital, and ensured compliance with financial obligations, budgeting, and cost control.

Additionally, he has previous experience as a general accountant at an oil and gas enterprise for two years and worked in the international payment department at a bank.

Ak Mohd Azam Pg Abdul Rahman

Azam Rahman (Born 13 December 1995) graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Exeter, and in 2019 was called to the Bar of England and Wales under the Middle Temple Inn of Court. Azam is a lawyer working at Brunei Investment Agency, the sovereign wealth fund of Brunei Darussalam, where he specialises in Investment and Company Law, helping BIA achieve its mission of safeguarding Brunei's foreign assets for the benefit of future generations. Outside of work, Azam is passionate about startups and sustainable economic development. Azam is founder and lead developer of Quickbasket.io, an e-commerce startup aimed at improving access to online sales for underprivileged vendors. Azam is also Co-Founder of Saha Orchids, a Brunei-based agritech startup seeking to be the first plantation in Brunei to commercially farm several species of orchid, aiming to promote sustainable agriculture in Brunei and beyond.

Taing Huang Hao

Born and raised in Phnom Penh city, Hao Taing is an ambitious Cambodian youth with a passion for social entrepreneurship. Currently, Hao is pursuing a Master of Marketing at the University of Minnesota. Hao is the Founder and President of the Local4Local organization in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Local4Local is on a mission to diminish food insecurity and empower the livelihood of cyclo drivers in Cambodia. At the age of 21, Hao was listed on Forbes30Under30 Asia’s list under the theme of social impact. With Local4Local this year, Hao is in pursuit of setting a new world record by building the “Largest Cyclo in the World.” By envisioning a vision of the “Community of Kindness”, Hao continues to use his platform to amplify positive impacts through community partnership and creativity. As a storyteller and a photographer, Hao has an eye for art and creative expressions. Being trilingual (can speak Khmer, English, and Chinese), Hao embraces diversity as an intercultural communicator. At the heart of changemaking, Hao also champions mental health awareness through acts of gratitude and mindful meditation. Hao enjoys jogging, basketball, and hiking in the wilderness.
